Credit Controller/ Accounts Assistant, Margam, Port Talbot, South Wales TEMP TO PERM £16-18k (£8-9 per hour) Our client a well respected landscape contractor is seeking a Credit Controller/Accounts Assistant to join their finance team in Margam, Port Talbot. Reporting to the Financial Director you will be acting as her number two and be responsible for ensuring credit management and accounts procedures are maintained to a standard of excellence. This is NOT an accounts clerk role and requires a good accounts all rounder with experience in the following areas:- sales applications ledger, credit control, cash-flow forecast, VAT, revenue reporting, treasury, payroll, fixed assets and stock. The overall objective of the position is: * The prompt collection of all certificates and invoices, the recognition of revenue and the processing and reconciliation of the Sales Ledger and Sales Applications Ledger. * Processing Payroll of hourly paid employees from timesheets through to payment and reconciliation. * Accounting for assets, i.e. Fixed Assets, Cash and Stock. Applicants MUST HAVE: * Strong credit control experience * Experience and a good working knowledge of accounts procedures in general * Experience working with complex accounts packages * Excellent communication skills and a tenacious, resilient and positive personality The successful candidate will be:- * Able to problem solve analytically and technically * A self-starter, comfortable managing their own workload * Organised, pro-active and be able to work to tight deadlines IMPORTANT: Previous experience of the construction industry and knowledge of Exchequer accounting software preferred. Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm Temporary assignment approx. 3 months leading to potential permanent position. The office is based off Junction 37 (Porthcawl) M4 west bound.
