Our client, a highly successful family run flooring business with a solid 20 year reputation for service delivery have an opportunity for an Operations Manager to join their team.

The Operations Manager will report to the Managing Director and Contracts Director and will be accountable for ensuring contracts run to time and within budget to maximise profitability. Fitters and trainees will report directly in to you and you will be responsible for running weekly Contract Management meetings. Local and national projects will vary from £50 to £250k.

Daily responsibilities will include liaising with sales and directing contract teams, allocating and scheduling work, meeting customers, advising on product range, surveying sites, costing jobs, supervising projects, negotiating with suppliers, stock control and ensuring health and safety regulations are complied with.

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and fit seamlessly in to the team, immediately building rapport with customers, suppliers and contractors and provide immediate support to current projects.

Previous experience will include:
Contract or project management in flooring or building industry including estimations, costings, production, installation, budgeting and overall operational responsibility.

Essential:
Full clean driving licence
Strong IT and numeracy skills

Desirable:
NEBOSH and/or CITB Site Supervisor Certificates
Floor fitting skills

Hours: Monday to Friday 7.15am - 4.30pm (with some flexibility to cover business needs)
