Account Manager - Private Medical Insurance - 15 month contract

Job Description:
Our client is a leading healthcare insurance organisation boasting a modern office in central Bristol and were voted in the 'Times top 100 companies to work' for 5 years in a row. In 2008 they were also voted Best Customer Service and Health Insurance Company of the Year at the Healthcare Insurance awards.

Due to maternity leave they currently have a vacancy for an Account Manager on a 15 month Fixed Term Contract

The main responsibilities of the role are:

- Manage a portfolio of corporate clients on a day to day basis, supporting the Key Account Managers, including renewal, mid-term changes, queries and issues
- Build relationships with client contacts, understand client needs and balance these with the business' needs.
- Work closely with the Supervisor, Key Account Managers, Sales & Marketing Operations and Client Services Claims Teams.
- Manage clients invoicing and ensure it is issued accurately and on time, where appropriate
- Complete client review meetings
- Assist the Key Account managers in the production of reports for client reviews and key client meetings where appropriate
- Acts as the co-ordination between the Client Services Claims teams and the client or Key Account Managers in resolving complex claims
- Work with the marketing department in the design and content of client's healthcare booklets/PDFs as necessary
- Complete ad hoc reports and research
- Assist in the response to new business tenders and the production of sales presentations

Candidates must have insurance or healthcare experience, ideally from within the PMI industry (private medical insurance)
Along with this candidates must also have a with a high degree of sales/customer/client services experience (essential)

Other key requirements include:

- Excellent communication skills, must be an excellent face to face and telephone communicator at senior board level
- Ability to present to clients using a number of different formats, including formal sales/renewal presentations
- Experience in an Account Management support role
- Competent in the use of the MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet and Outlook.
- The use of Access or a similar database would be useful
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Graduate calibre

Full training will be given and there will be excellent progression potential from this role.


Hours: Mon-Fri 35 hours per week (flexi time)
Salary: £20,000 pa (annual salary review) + annual bonus
