Cabot Circus boasts strong openingCabot Circus boasts strong opening: Bristol shopping centre Cabot Circus has attracted more than a million customers since it opened nearly two weeks ago. The £500-million scheme, featuring 140 shops, restaurants and cafes, and a 13-screen luxury cinema, saw over 120,000 shoppers on its opening day alone and close to half a million by the end of its first trading weekend. Despite the challenging economic climate, managers say more than a million people have already visited Cabot Circus and retailers have been delighted with the response from shoppers. The House of Fraser store has performed well with a total of 19,612 transactions and 26,333 items sold in just over a week. The flagship store, Harvey Nichols is also said to have exceeded expectations and is continuing to trade well.
